about
First of all big thanks to:
Tommy Betzler - for having the idea for a collaboration with Ansgar and doing his excellent drumming.
Sammy David - for providing his studio for one day and recording Tommy´s drumming. Also doing mixing, cutting, mastering to finish the track.
Laurent Schieber / Sequentia Legenda - for the wonderful cover artwork.
The team of the Electronic Circus festival (Frank Gerber, Hans-Hermann Hess, Lutz Hilker, Mike Niemann, Wolfgang Senfleben, Walter Adam) - for believing in Ansgar and supporting him.
Anke Betzler - for having the idea to call the project "Ansgar and his knights and heroes"
On music festivals of the Electronic Circus team Ansgar met Thomas "Tommy" Betzler who is the former drummer of electronic music pioneer Klaus Schulze.
Ansgar and Tommy immediately liked themselves and became friends. On one of the last days in 2017 when we were in a chat with Tommy he suggested to become Ansgars drummer. On his 9th birthday in January 2018 Ansgar started the work on Floating Minds. Except for some interruptions because of working on two other tracks Ansgar finished his work on Floating Minds until the beginning of April 2018.
Floating Minds is Ansgars and Tommy´s interpretation of Berlin School music. This project is to be thought of going on with Ansgar and Tommy and also some other interested musicians. Thats why its called "Ansgar and his knights and heroes".
Note:
There are sometimes people who doubt Ansgar is composing this music himself aged 9 years. So here is what he did:
Having the basic idea for the track and its musical direction, choosing sounds, the key, composing sequences, basslines, melodies and chord progression, also basic arrangement. That should be enough to make it his music.
What he is not doing so far is programming sounds, detailed arranging, mix and mastering. These parts are done by his Dad, Matthias Stock.

Favorite track "The Night the Moon fell" - it reminds me of the title track of a 1980s crime TV show. synthreplicants
