The idea behind Running Electrons is to musically process what is going on inside electronic instruments. The fast beats and sequences are like the electrons going lightning fast trough all those components like chips, transistors, capacitors, etc. Various musical scenes appear for showing the stages inside an electronic unit.

Musically it reminds a little bit on fast late 70s tracks from Tangerine Dream like Madrigal Meridiani combined with modern dance elements. Its clearly Ansgars musical handwriting but he developed it further, used new sounds making it a new Ansgar Stock 2021.
Not by coincidence its released exactly 5 years after his first self composed track Jedi Cruiser 188 which saw the light of day on 2nd, May 2016.

Ansgar composed Running Electrons already in April 2020 during the first Corona lockdown which gave him a lot of time for studiowork. Working on several new tracks at the same time in spring 2020 he didn´t managed to finish it until gardentime stepped in. So there wasn´t even a demo recording of it but only the Midi files. In April 2021 after recording another new track it was finally time to finish Running Electrons. With a few additional synthesizers, sounds and ideas the sketch from 2020 turned into this new piece of music giving an idea what to expect from Ansgars next studioalbum in early 2022.
